About Me

Claudia Schmidt, RP (Qualifying) provides psychotherapy to adults. She works with a range of concerns, including relationship struggles, attachment issues, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, stress, perfectionism, life transitions, self-esteem issues. She believes the struggles we face in our lives and relationships are often caused by interpersonal difficulties and that a deeper exploration of one’s own patterns of relating can help improve the quality of our relationships and lives and relieve somatic symptoms. Forming a trusting professional relationship with a therapist can help us work through issues like these and live healthier, more fulfilling lives. She helps clients identify suitable goals, gain more self-awareness and learn about their relational patterns. Her counselling approach is influenced by psychodynamic theory, and integrates experiential elements of psychodrama where applicable. Claudia works with clients in-person and virtually. She has a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and is a member of the CCPA. Claudia is supervised by Jennifer Elder, RP, CCC and also attends group supervision regularly.
